Neighbourhood

Due to Covid-19, it is currently closed to visitors, but usually opens two days a week in the summer. As well as the manor house there is a beautifully maintained garden.

Location
Less than three miles from the property is the larger village of Bloxham which has shops, several pubs, a small museum and other amenities, including both GP and dental practices.
There are notable schools in Bloxham, including a Church of England primary, the Warriner technology college and the independent Bloxham School. The village has a range of clubs and societies including a football club, a badminton club and a history society.

Three miles in the other direction from Broughton is the town of Banbury with a substantial shopping centre and a wide range of amenities, including the Banbury Museum and the Mill Arts Centre. The popular Spiceball Leisure centre has a gym, swimming pool, badminton and squash courts.

Banbury railway station — which has a car park — has regular trains to London (Marylebone) and Birmingham. Stagecoach operate a bus route from Banbury to Oxford.

Banbury is just off Junction 11 of the M40 which links to the M5, M6, M1 and the M25.
